William "Bill" McCune

William “Bill” McCune 67 of New Lexington passed away Saturday March 1, 2025, at the Majestic Care Nursing Home in New Lexington.

He was born November 27, 1957, in Crestline, Ohio a son of the late William G. and Lucille I. Shifley McCune.

Bill was an employee of Acosta, he enjoyed playing bingo, fishing with his buddies and he was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

Bill is survived by his children Heather (Thomas) Ellis and Katie (Chancey) Dublin; his sister Glena Gottfried; grandchildren Thomas (Shelbi) Canter, Davis (David) Berry, Jade (Caden Knight) Ellis and Zander Ellis; his fishing buddies William Wright, Trenton Ellis, Jimmy Altier and Josh Llewellyn; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Mike McCune; sisters Lois Clay and Susan Everly.

Friends may call from 2-4 pm on Sunday March 9, 2025, at the J. E. Humphrey Funeral Home 118 W. Walnut Street, Shawnee.
