William 'Bill' DeLong, 64 years old, of Wildcat Hollow, peacefully passed away at OSU James Cancer Hospital on June 24th, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with cancer.
Bill was born on October 9th, 1957, to Alice and Elmer DeLong in Columbus, Oh. He served in the Army from 1976 to 1979 stationed at Fort Ord in Salinas, Ca, where he was an electronic technician.
He enjoyed spending time with his close family and loving niece, Rochell DeLong, who helped to look after him. Bill was a simple man in every aspect of his life and had a love for living in the country.
Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Roy A. DeLong, mother and father, Alice and Elmer DeLong, and girlfriend, Starla Tabler.
Bill is survived by sister-in-law, Romona DeLong, nephew, Roy DeLong II, nieces, Rochell and Robecca DeLong, great-nieces, Sherielyn and Hayliemarie DeLong, Autumn and Courtney DeLong, and great-nephew, Roy DeLong III.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 pm Monday June 28, 2021, at the funeral home with Pastor Ed Harding officiating.
Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Corning, where military graveside honors were conducted by Corning American Legion Post 327
