Wanda Sue (Spencer) Leckrone

Wanda Sue Spencer Leckrone 81 of Ludington passed away Sunday November 24, 2024, at the Genesis Morrison House, Zanesville.

She was born, September 9, 1943, in Colgate, a daughter of the late Perl Jasper and Stella Rebecca Simpson Spencer.

Sue was a long-time member of the Hemlock Community Church and was all about her family and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them at family gatherings, babysitting the grandkids, trips to Tennessee and Wheeling, camping and boating and cooking and baking for them; she also enjoyed Bingo and the occasional trip to the Casino.

She is survived by her husband Mell Leckrone; her daughter Sherry (Bob) Heavener, her son Mell (Sandy) Leckrone; her brother Mike (Joyce) Spencer, her sister Pam Spencer; her brother-in-law Denny Leckrone; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Perl “Perk” Spencer, her sister Serena Leckrone and her sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Tom Pearl.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday November 30, 2024, at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Shawnee with Pastor Dennis Keller officiating

Interment: Springer Cemetery
