Thomas LeBlanc Obituary

Thomas F. LeBlanc, 66, of Gahanna, Ohio, Bradenton, Florida, and Junction City, Ohio, passed away on October 23, 2019 At Sycamore Run Nursing Center in Millersburg, Ohio, from Pick’s Disease.  He was also cared for by Ohio’s Hospice Life Care during his last three weeks.  Our family is so grateful for all the loving care Tom received from all the staff and medical team at Sycamore Run and the loving care from hospice.

Tom was born May 18, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Edmund R. and Grace Marie (Hoff) LeBlanc.  He is also preceded in death by his sister, Therese Anne (Teri) LeBlanc Sinclair.

He is survived by his sister Diane Blackman Doyle (Henry), brother Raymond LeBlanc (Charon), sister Michele Gamble (Gary Scidmore), and brother-in-law Rick Sinclair.  He is also survived by previous wife, Marla LeBlanc of Worthington, OH, Pamela LeBlanc and Mother-in-law Nancy Laston of Bradenton, FL, nine nieces and nephews, and 16 great nieces and nephews.

Tom worked many years at Hugh White Honda as an auto mechanic. More importantly, he was the family auto mechanic and would never charge a dime to keep his family’s autos in perfect order.  He also owned an auto detailing shop where he gave many of his nieces and nephews and their friends jobs for several years cleaning and detailing cars.  Tom would do anything for his family and friends and would never accept anything in return.

Affectionately known as the “fun uncles”, he and his brother Ray played softball with their nephews in Columbus, Ohio for many years.  He also enjoyed boating with friends and family in the Ohio lakes and in Florida.  He just loved being out on the water and spending time with his loved ones.  He was also known to local restaurant staff as “James Bond” because he would always use that name when reserving a table. Tom was the life of the party and was loved by all who knew him.  He will be greatly missed.
