Thomas E Bailey Sr.

Thomas E. Bailey Sr. 70 of Rendville passed away on Thursday March 23, 2023, at the Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.

He was born December 23, 1952, in Zanesville, a son of the late Bernard “Beans” and Orpha Lucas Bailey.

Tom was a hard worker throughout his life, he was currently employed as a State of Ohio Correction Officer at the Southeastern Corrections Institute for the past 19 years, before that Tom had worked for 30 years at C&E Glass of Lancaster and when he wasn’t at his fulltime jobs he liked to work on computer in his free time; He was a good guy that enjoyed a fast car, shooting pool, good music and Bruce Lee movies.

He is survived by his children Shelly (Michael Hendershott) Bailey, Thomas E. (Crystal) Bailey Jr., and his stepson Sly Bailey; his siblings Jon Hopkins, Bernard Bailey, Bruce (Salena) Bailey, Beth (Phil) Leclerc and Bryan Bailey; grandchildren Thomas E. Bailey III, Ashley Bailey, Anthony Spires, and Malika (Jenn) Spires; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Edith Doreen Bailey and his sister Lynn Bailey.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday April 3, 2023 at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Shawnee.

Interment: Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington.
