Teara Ward 18 of Burr Oak Kansas passed away On Sunday September 24, 2023, at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Ohio.
She was born on January 15, 2005, in Zanesville, the daughter of Chealsea Sturgill and Brian (Chenelle) Ward.
Teara was an Education Major at Ft. Hays State University, with dreams of being a Kindergarten Teacher, she was a graduate of Rock Hills High, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.
Survived by her siblings; Andre Joy, Camden Ward, Jody Hicks, Austin Graham, Karson Hostutler, Kayden Hostutler, Kayona Hostutler, and Karmen Tate, Aunt and Uncles; Dusti (JJ) Herz, Cody ( Stephanie) Richardson, Misty (Tim) Dill and Micheal Wills; grandparents, Robert and Shirley Sturgill, James Ward, Joseph and Kathy Herz, great grandparents, Linda and Doug Newman, nieces and nephew, Zoe and Annalise Richardson and Auden Joy, her sister -cousins Izzy Herz and Jada Beach, and several greats Aunts great Uncles cousins.
Teara was preceded in death by her grandmothers Lisa Sturgill and Drema Ward, and great grandparents Alan and Sandy Champ.

Funeral Services will be held at 1P.M. on Friday September 29, 2023, at the New Straitsville Methodist Church with Pastor Rick Sturgill officiating Friends may also call from 11 A.M. Until the time of the funeral service.
