Sinda Lou (Spears) Koon

Sinda Lou Spears Koon 62 of New Lexington, formerly of Congo passed away Tuesday August 29, 2023, at the OSU Medical Center, Columbus.

She was born April 6, 1962, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Wesley and Betty Perry Spears.

Sinda was an avid Ohio State Fan, she enjoyed crafting and was a volunteer at the Corning Food Pantry and Saint Vincent De Paul in Corning.

She is survived by her son Jamie Koon; her daughters Cynthia Lou Stanley and Amanda Sue Hook; her sisters Millie Savage, Kay rutter, Vicky (Ed Sarver) Simerly and Mary Davidson; her brother John (Audrey) Spears; her grandchildren Aaron, James, Wesley, Johnathan, Tatum, Meskle, Abigail, Abbie, Matthew, Damon, Brittney, and Dakota.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Koon; her brother David Spears; her sister Leona Koon; son in law Shannon Hook; nephews David Savage Jr. and Bobby Koon Jr.; her nieces Martha Mauller and Tara Shirkey.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday September 6, 2023, at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Shawnee, with Pastor Richard Fitch officiating.

Interment: Beech Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 12 until 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
