Shirley K Owen

Shirley K. Owen 86 of Shawnee passed on Monday August 8, 2022, at Genesis Hospital Zanesville.

She was born on March 5, 1936, in Trimble, a daughter of the late Carl H. and Bessie M. (Clark) VanWey. Shirley was a member of the Iron Point Church, where she made many friends through the years, and enjoyed going to the homecomings. Shirley was an avid baseball fan, watching many games over the years, from her husband coaching to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren playing. She was a strong Euchre player and enjoyed bingo.

 Surviving are her children; Glenna Owen, Vickie (Terry) Brown, Randy Owen, and Tammie (Bill) Finck; brother- in- law, George (Sandy) Owen, grandchildren; Kevin, Dana, Amanda, Kacy, Cody, Brianna, Ava, Daulton, Angela, Makayla, Dylan, and Ashley; many great- grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Owen, son Kevin Owen, and sister Nadene VanWey.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday August 11, 2022, at THE J.E..HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME 118 W. Walnut St. SHAWNEE, with Doug Gill officiating. Interment SHAWNEE Cemetery.

 Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and from noon until 1p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home
