Ronald Brown Obituary

Ronald D Brown, 69, of Logan, formerly of New Straitsville, passed away at his home. Ron was born on September 27, 1951 in SHAWNEE, a son of the late Sherman and Rema (Self) Brown.

Ron was a 30 year member of the New Straitsville Volunteer Fire Department. He exemplified the saying ”One man’s trash is another man’s treasure." He had a few jobs in his life, but enjoyed selling cars at Jeffer’s Ford the most. It was the only one that paid him to BS with people. Usually he did it for free.

He is survived by his children Christopher Brown, Brian (Marie Hartman) Brown, and Amy Moore; sister Karen Brown; brother Bill (Barb) Brown; grandchildren Emily, Carsyn, and Landen Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Matthew Brown; twin infant brother Don Brown; sisters Linda Ayers and infant Mary Catherine Brown; brothers Dave Brown and Terry Brown; granddaughter Emma Brown; and stepfather Bob Roberts.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
