Roger McClelland Obituary

Roger McClelland 84, of New Straitsville, formerly of Glouster, passed away at his home on Saturday March 27, 2021. Roger was born on November 27,1936 in Trimble Ohio. A son of the late William R. and Eileen Woodruff McClelland.  

Roger was a proud alumnus of Jacksonville- Trimble High School, a former Master Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp, and a retired owner/ operator for United Van Lines.   Roger was kind, generous and hard working. Not only was a lot of his free-time dedicated to entertaining his grandkids, he also supported/funded his granddaughters softball team for five years name after the company he worked for United Van Lines, he was greatly admired by his grandchildren he free time
He is survived by his wife Betty ( Miller) McClelland, grandchildren V.J. McClelland,; Megan McClelland , Danielle McClelland, Judy Ann McClelland, Tonya Collins, Shane Collins ,  Courtney Rittgers , Zackary Collins, Eli Collin, Eric Collins, Terra Collins and Cathy Camp, brothers Gary ( Judy) McClelland and  Jan ( Jo) McClelland ;   brother in law Dave Miller. his furry companion Sadie Rose; great-grandchildren Shaina Collins, Olivia Collins, Cooper Tharp, Daylen Collins; great great-grandchildren Sariah McKee, and Russell Tivner.
Besides his parents Roger was preceded in death by his sons Jeff McClelland. Terry Collins, Mike Collins, Jeff Collins, and Donnie Peart; brother Robert McClelland and sister Sally Burchfield.

Per Roger’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no public services.
