Richard "Dickie" McGrath passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Dickie was loved by all who knew him for his easygoing, fun-loving personality and kind heart. His passion for hunting and fishing not only brought him great joy throughout his life but also introduced him to many people who became lifelong friends. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and caring nature were evident in every aspect of his life and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
One of Dickie's greatest sources of pride and happiness was being a father and grandfather. He especially cherished the time he spent with his beloved granddaughter, Rylynn, whose memory remained close to his heart.
Dickie is survived by his loving companion, Kim Hanning; his daughter, Shawna McGrath; and Josh Wise, a loving son in every way that mattered, though not by birth. He is also survived by his siblings, Pam (Pete) Nelson, Bobbie (Rick) Begley, Robert (Angie) McGrath, and Dawn (Trent) Kennedy. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Rylynn Baughman, and his parents, Bob and Dorothy McGrath.
Dickie will be remembered for his kindness, his love of the outdoors, his devotion to family and friends, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
