Polly Evelyn Queen Cox 73 of Nelsonville passed away at her home on Sunday May 16, 2021.

She was born February 28, 1948 in Lincoln County West Virginia a daughter of the late William and Anna Toppins Queen.

She was a longtime cook at the Old Dutch Restaurant in Logan.

She is survived by her children Audra Harper, Tammy Jo May, Cindy Lee (Tim) Lawrence and Gary Lee Cox II; brothers Linzie, Bill and Sammie; sister Sarah; grandchildren Natasha, Wesley, Lucas, Claude, Lacey and Timothy; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gary Lee “Sonny” Cox, granddaughter Vestina Marie Cox; son in law Larry Robert Harper Jr.; brothers Arlie, Alvis, Delbert and Floyd; sisters Jane and Cuba.

Per Polly’s wishes cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday May 23, 2021 at the Mount Tabor Christian Fellowship Church 8181 State Route 664 N Logan with Mary Travis officiating.

Following services friends and family are invited to share in food and fellowship at the Shiloah (Church House) which is located approximately 2.5 miles up the road.
