Marvin Ralph Post

Marvin Ralph Post Sr. 74 of Corning passed away Monday August 29, 2022, at the Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.

He was born October 22, 1947, in Columbus the son of the late Rev Ralph and Mildred Bray Post.

Marvin was a U.S. Army Viet Nam Era veteran; he was a member of the U.M.W.A.; he retired from Sidwell’s; he was an airplane pilot and enjoyed racing stock cars and motorcycles.  His family church was the Millertown Church of Christ in Christian Union.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Peggy Simpson Post; his son Marvin D. Post Jr his daughter Bobbie Jo (Steve) Alfman; his sisters Kay Burns and Marilyn Hoops; his granddaughters Erin (Kevin) Doughty and Madison Post; great granddaughters Reece and Grace Doughty and plenty of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday September 1, 2022, at the J. E. Humphrey Funeral Home 118 W. Walnut Street Shawnee.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday September 2, 2022, at the Millertown Church of Christ in Christian Union 7838 Township Road 331 SE. Corning, Oh.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Corning.
