Marvin Darrell "Marty" Crane Jr.

Marvin (Marty) D. Crane Jr (age 56) of Hemlock, Ohio died Friday June 7, 2024, at Genesis Hospital. Zanesville

He was born January 11, 1968, to Ethyl Crane and the late Marvin Crane Sr.

Marty graduated from Miller High School in 1986. After graduation Marty was a loyal friend and employee of ODOT- District 5 for 15 years.  Marty enjoyed many lifelong hobbies such as Junker-necking, carpentry, and working on all things broken. Making him a jack-of- all-trades. Marty was a hard, dedicated worker that devoted his spare time to friends, helping others, and his love for camping. In addition, Marty never missed an opportunity to be an amazing brother, son, father, and ALWAYS an attentive, loving “Papaw.”

In addition to his father Marvin D. Crane Sr., Marty was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Frank (Nema) Crane and Joe (Catherine) Dupler.

Marty; Survived by his mother Ethyl M. Crane; His three sons Shane (Kassey) Crane, Tyler (Katie) Crane, and Phillip (Kendra) Crane; A Brother Greg (Lori) Crane; A sister Tonya Crane (Dave); 12 Grand Children, several dear cousins, nieces, a nephew, many friends, and his ODOT family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday June 15, 2024 at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home 118 W. Walnut Street, Shawnee.

Friends may call from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. and from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Friday June 14, 2024 at the funeral and from 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
