Mark Damon Snyder, 68 years old of Shawnee, Ohio passed away on October 28, 2024, after a long battle with complications from Cancer.
Mark was born on May 23, 1956, to parents Barbara and Don Snyder in New Straitsville, Ohio.
His childhood in New Straitsville instilled a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing and all things outdoors, and he loved to speak about it with anyone who would listen.
After Mark graduated from Miller High School, he went on to serve in the U.S. Navy.
After serving in the Navy, he went on to move to Covington, Kentucky. This is where he met and married his wife, Betty Ann Feebeck; Betty had a daughter from a previous marriage; Jerri Elizabeth Storer. Mark took on the role of becoming a dad quickly. Betty and Mark then ended up having their son, Eddie Damon Snyder, in 1985.
The family moved to Webb Summit, Oh. And eventually purchased a home in Shawnee, Ohio. Before retiring, Mark worked in many fields and had a passion for music, in and out of church. Guns, hunting, a good meal and his grandchildren. Mark and Betty were married for 46 years.
Mark is survived, by his wife Betty Snyder, their Children; Eddie Snyder (Granddaughter: Eve Elizabeth Snyder) Jerri and Danny (Son in law) Strohm (Grandson: Spencer Anthony Strohm) Siblings; Rick (Becky) Snyder, Becky (Brian) Meyers, and Kelly (Tim) Taylor; along with many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel Snyder and James Snyder
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 Am on Friday November 1, 2024, at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, 118 West Walnut Street, Shawnee, Oh. 43782
Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation, at 11:00 am.
Interment: Shawnee Cemetery where Military honors will be conducted by the The Plains VFW Post 7174.
All friends and family are welcome. The family asks that donations to [preferred charity or cause] be made instead of flowers.
