Lynn Carl Canter 53 of Crooksville passed away at his home on Monday February 13, 2023.
He was born May 1, 1969, in Zanesville, a son of Bill and Vera Johnson Canter.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and just being in the great outdoors.
Besides his parents he is survived by his children C.J. (Kaitlyn) Canter and Rebecca (Carter Walters) Canter; his grandchildren Harper Canter, Parker Canter, Bayler Canter, and Oliver Walters; his siblings Sue (Pat Wohrle) Denny, Mary (Tony) Zimmerman, Bill (Joyce) Canter, Chuck (Stephanie) Canter, Chad Canter and Linda Queen; his former wife and mother of his children Sherry Riggs; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jeff Canter and infant brother Tommy Canter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday February 18, 2023, at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, 118 W. Walnut Street Shawnee.
Interment: Springer Cemetery, Hemlock, where military graveside services will be conducted.
Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. on Friday February 17, at the funeral home.
