Karen Louise Thompson

Karen Louise Thompson 63 of New Straitsville passed away Tuesday January 2, 2024, at the New Lexington Care and Rehabilitation Center.

 She was born March 6, 1960, in Nelsonville, a daughter of the late Albert Washington and Dorothy Ellen Bell Thompson.

  She is survived by her children Cora and Ryan Ellis; her grandchildren; her sisters Kate Allen and Rose Tatman; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ellis, her brother Albert W. Thompson Jr. and her sister Jean Miller.

 Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. on Friday January 5, 2024, at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Shawnee, with Pastor Richard Fitch officiating.

Following services per Karen’s wishes cremation will take place.

 Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
