Julie Ann Meredith-McClelland

Julie Ann Meredith-McClelland, 71, of Shawnee passed away on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Julie was born June 15, 1953, in Zanesville, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Marilyn (Page) Shiplett- Howard and Terry Shiplett.

She was a devoted member of the Hemlock Community Church where she found a supportive and loving group of friends. Keeping true to her hippie ways, Julie found joy reminiscing with her others on Facebook. But it was her passion for God and the love for her people that set Julie apart.

Julie is survived by her husband Doug McClelland; her brother Steve Shiplett; several nieces and nephews; her church family; special friend Carolyn Weaver and a host of other good friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother David Shiplett; sisters-in-laws Elaine Shiplett and Charlotte Shiplett; stepmother Jodi Shiplett; stepfather Ray Howard; and the world’s greatest pets Pepper the cat and Bob the dog.

 Friends may call from 2:00 PM- 6:00 PM on Sunday, Sept. 1 at the Hemlock Community Church, Hemlock, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 6:00 PM with Dennis Keller, Ernie Eing, and Shawn Valentine officiating.
