John Charles Miller 90 of Corning passed away Saturday October 2, 2021, at his home.

He was born to the late John Miller and May Olive Stancliff in Washington Twp. New Castle (Lawrence County) Pennsylvania on July 7, 1931.

PFC John Miller is a Korean War veteran. He served in the 89th Tank Battalion Headquarters and Service Company as a truck driver from 1949 till his honorable discharge in June 1951.

John married Beverly “Bev” Grace Warner on October 19, 1957 and remained married to her until her death in 1989. He married Lelonie (Lee) Arnold on December 3, 1994 and remained married to her until her death in September 2019.

John was a avid fisherman and hunter who received several awards and has records in Pennsylvania for his many catches. John was also a very good craftsman who was know for his carpentry skills for making things by hand, out of wood and refurbishing old guns. He was also a jack of all trades handyman and could fix anything mechanical from cars to furnaces when needed.

John retired from Nehi RC Bottling Plant, as well as ADESA AUTO Auction in Mercer, Pa.

John was a lifelong resident of Mercer, Pa. until 2015, when he and his wife moved to New Castle, in December 2019. John moved to Corning, Ohio so that his oldest granddaughter Nadine Cain (Eric) could take care of him, he remained there until the Lord called him home.

John is survived by his children John Miller (Debbie), Bonnie Thomas (James), Jim Miller, Linda Valenzuela (Manny), and Raymond Miller (Robin), as well as 2 stepchildren Paula Eakin and Danny Arnold (Nancy); his brothers and sisters Robert Miller (Margy), William Miller (Linda), Jeanne Frazier, Joanne Henslee (Rodger), Anna Thompson (David), And Catherine Miller; 15 grandchildren and a plethora of great grandchildren and 1 great grandson Brantley Cain, who was his special buddy his last remaining years.

John was preceded in death by his parents John ad May; his wives Beverly in 1989 and Lelonie in 2019; a sister Dolly Reed (Boyd); his infant daughter Beverly Ann and granddaughter Alexa Lee Micco
