John Ivan Jr.

John Ivan Jr. 85, of SHAWNEE, passed away on Sunday March 27, 2022, at his home.

John was born in Logan West Virginia on March 12, 1937.

He retired from Peabody coal company as a foreman, he enjoyed fishing, and tooling around in his 1958 chevy truck, with his dog and traveling buddy, Muffin.

John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Janet (Shepherd) Ivan, daughter Tammy (Paul) Miller, and son, Allen (Ona) Ivan, grandchildren, Paul, Dustan, Barbie, Jason, Brittney and Emily; sisters, Mary Rose and Georgianne; brother Vernon, and 16 great grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his father and mother John and Minnie Belle Ivan Sr., and infant son Donnie Ivan.

John’s wishes for cremation and private services, will be honored by his family.
