John William “Speed” Fulk 76 of Corning passed away at his home on Monday October 16, 2023.
He was born October 14, 1947, in Corning, a son of the late Carl Leonard and Mary Catherine Kinsel Fulk.
He was an employee of 20 years of Peabody Coal Company, where he was on the mine rescue team, member of the U.M.W.A., he was a life member of Corning Eagles Aeries 463, and he retired from I.B.E.W. 1105; he loved to garden and to keep a beautiful yard.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years Helen Joseph Fulk; his daughter Traci (Darren) Dawkins; his sons John (Sandy) Fulk, Marty Fulk and Todd (Stacey) Fulk; his grandchildren Trenton, Tayva, Brantlon, Elizabeth, Tyler, Ashley, Tiffani, Jacob and Jarod; 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way; his siblings Mike Fulk, Elizabeth Rittgers, Joe Fulk, Clarence Fulk and Sandy Swain; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Buck Fulk; his sisters Mary Jones and Patty Ferguson and his infant brother Carl Fulk.
Per John’s wishes cremation will take place.
