Joan (Ratliff) Morgan

Joan Isabella (Ratliff) Morgan, 85, of SHAWNEE, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 on the Morgan family farm.  Joan was born on February 13, 1937 in Goody, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late Okie and Erma (Dean) Ratliff. Joan, affectionately known has” Miss Jo,” was a country girl at heart. She enjoyed the farm, picking berries, and taking care of her family. Joan was once asked if could do her life over, would she change anything? “Not one thing,” was her answer. Joan is survived by her daughter Rhonda Ferguson; son Benjamin Morgan Jr.; son Timothy Morgan and wife Angie Morgan; son Kenneth Morgan and wife Charity Morgan; son Christopher Morgan and wife Tonya Morgan; sisters Teresa Corn, Barbara( Everett) Spicer, and LaVada Evans; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Benjamin F. Morgan; sister Letha Ratliff; and brothers Okie Ratliff and Carl Ratliff.  We take solace knowing that in Gods’ great plan for us all, we will see her soon in Heaven. The viewing will be held from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at THE J.E. HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME, 118 Walnut St, SHAWNEE, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Steve Harrop on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Joan will be interred in the family plot at the SHAWNEE Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family.
