Janice Pingle

With very heavy hearts, we share the passing of Janice L. Pingle, 73, of New Lexington. Janice passed away on May 23, 2026.

Janice was born on October 29, 1952 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Donald E. “Gene” and Joyce L. (Bruney) Wollenberg.

Janice’s life was defined by kindness and compassion. She had a special way of making people feel safe, comforted, and deeply loved. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother, and she will always be remembered for her enormous heart. She was a devoted daughter, sister and friend. She was a calm, grounded, and resilient presence—the rock of the family.

Janice loved life’s simple joys—she loved animals (especially her dog Tyler), sunny days, time with loved ones, and making memories wherever she went. Her laughter was contagious and unforgettable.  She had a way of filling every room with warmth, joy, and smiles. Though her absence will be deeply felt, the love she shared and memories she made continues to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children Dawn (Jason) Fulk, Travis Pingle, Justin ( Mariah Keister) Pingle , Corey Pingle, and Brett Pingle; grandchildren Justus (LeAnn Danielson) Ardetto, Dallas (Timothy) Smoot, McKenna Pingle, Timmy Fulk, Kolton Pingle, and Hudson Pingle; great grandchildren Landon, Rowan, Oliver, Isaiah, and Elliot; siblings Roger (Collette) Wollenberg, Kathy (Jimmy) O’Brien, Nancy (Jeff) Berry, Larry (Stephanie) Wollenberg, Terry (Debbie) Wollenberg, Lana (Rick) Isham, Danny Wollenberg, and Molly Wollenberg Elkins; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Janice’s children will honor her wishes for a private family service.
