Janet Lee Thompson

Janet Lee Thompson, 78, of Junction City passed away on Friday, Sept.25, 2020 at Fairhope Hospice in Lancaster, Ohio.

She was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 17, 1942.

Janet is a daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Gray) Bourne.

She was a homemaker who put everyone’s needs above her own. Janet enjoyed time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, hunting, and being outdoors. Janet attended the Bremen Holiness Church.

She is survived by her children Scott (Honeybee) Thompson, Robin (Mark) King, Sonya Thompson, Rex (Tammy) Thompson, and Kara (Garfield) Tupuola; siblings Eugene Bourne, Paul (Alice) Bourne, Lawrence (Paula) Bourne, CJ (Velda) Bourne, Wanda Sinift, and Letha (Ray) Hanning; 16 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Emil Leroy Thompson, son Art Thompson, brother Harold Bourne, and sister Ruth Nelson.

Friends may call 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020 at the JE HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME, 118 W. Walnut Street, SHAWNEE, Ohio 43782.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, Sept. 29th at the funeral home with the Rev. Dale Darr officiating.

Following the funeral service, cremation will take place.
