James C. Woods, 77, of Corning passed away Dec. 31, 2020 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.
He was born July 26, 1943 in Corning.
Jim was the son of the late Cecil and Eloise (Theisen) Woods.
Jim was a proud graduate of Corning High School, a graduate of Andrews Barber College in Columbus, a master barber of over 55 years, a member of the Corning Eagles #463, a member of the Corning American Legion #327, a U.S. Army veteran, and he attended St. Bernard Catholic Church in Corning. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but was passionate about golfing. His best day on the golf course was the day he met the love of his life, his wife Phyllis. Together they made a beautiful life on the lake at Burr Oak.
He is survived by his daughter Jill (Roger) Niese; sister Jo Ellen Woods; granddaughters Molly and Morgan Niese; and grandsons Kane and Adam Rusler. Also surviving are Mark Rusler and Missy Rusler.
Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis (Kelly) Woods and Kevin Rusler.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM on Monday January 4, 2021 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Corning, with services being conducted at 3:00 PM with Deacon Mark Weiner officiating.
Interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Millertown, Ohio.
