Jack Lee Thompson 79 of Junction City passed away on Sunday January 28, 2024 at the Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.
He was born December 10, 1944 in Junction City, the son of the late Ray and Ellen Taylor Thompson.
Jack retired from Selkirk Metalbestos of Logan; He was the founder of the Shilo Waters Church in Junction City and served as the Pastor for 20 years; Jack previously served as the Pastor for the Congo Church; Jack enjoyed fishing and woodworking and was the Number One fan of the Cleveland Browns and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes as well.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Janice Theisen Thompson, his daughter Shelly, Duane Blair, who he thought of as a son; his niece Courtney Spohn and his nephew Benjamin Cooler; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Cooler.
Friends may call from 12 until 1 P.M. on Saturday February 3, 2024 at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home 118 W. Walnut Street, Shawnee.
Following calling cremation will take place.
