It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Howard Curtis Nelson, who left this world on May 28, 2026, at his home peacefully in the comforting presence of his devoted wife Mabel Eileen, children and grandchildren.
He was born on July 21, 1934 in Kington West Virginia. Howard was the son of the late John and Grace Nelson.
In 1956, Howard married the love of his life Mabel Eileen Gaddis, in Greenup, Kentucky.
They were married nearly 70 years before his passing.
He was proceeded in death by his siblings, John, Paul, George, David, Jessie, Jenny, Flo, and Carol (Rene), granddaughter Amy Jo Nelson and 2 great-granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife Mabel Eileen and his children Randy (Debbie), Pete (Pam), Pam Smith (Les) Rocky (Chris),Troy, Mark (Donna) and Stephanie Coomer (Tim). Sister Nellie Hall, His Legacy is further carried on by his 12 grandchildren, 27, great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren.
His Love for others extended into his congregation at the Kington Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Logan, Ohio. He never hesitated to share the word of Jehovah with those around him.
Per Howard wishes cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s witness in Logan Ohio on June 13th a 1p.m.
