Helen I Shirkey

Helen I Shirkey 82, New Lexington passed away at her home on June 1 2026.

Helen was born in Redtown Athens County on March 9, 1944, a daughter of the late Howard and Bertha Rutter.

She was devoted Wife, mom, and grandma, Helen was a former employee of Cooper Standard, who enjoyed the simple things in life.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Dawn Shirkey, grandchildren, Carrie, Amber, Micheal Jr., Tiffany, Tasha, Jessica, Michelle, Jordon, and Lindsey, 19 great-grandchildren, and 5, great-great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her Husband Terry Shirkey Sr., Sons, Terry Shirkey Jr. and Steven Shirkey, granddaughter Tara Shirkey, and her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday June 5, 2026 at the Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Fitch Officiating. Interment Millertown Cemetery.V
