Harry Showalter,73, of New Lexington passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his home, Fairview Assisted Living.
Harry was born on January 30,1947 in Paint Twp. in Highland County, Ohio, the son of the late Lester and Hazel Anna
(Lott) Showalter.
He was a United States Army Veteran, attended the Drakes House of Prayer, was a former employee of Nicofibers, and retired from the New Lexington School District. However Harry spent most of his life serving and protecting with the Perry County Sheriff's Dept. and the New Lexington Police Dept.
Harry is survived by his children Harry Showalter Jr. and Megan Showalter; grandchildren Faleign Wilson and Bub (Kendra)Wilson; great-grandchildren Mason, Brentley, and Bexley; special friend Mona Stanley; his "family" from Fairview Assisted Living; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Amy Wilson, and sisters Linda Findlay and Peggy Prior.
Graveside memorial services with Military Honors will be held at Southfork Cemetery in Pleasant Twp. on Sunday, November 1st at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may donated to the Fairview Assisted Living Residents Activity Fund, 5550 State Route 37 East, New Lexington, Ohio 43764.
