Harry Horn Jr. Obituary

Harry M. Horn Jr.75 of Corning passed Saturday January 8, 2022, at his home.

He was born November 8, 1946, in Logan a son of the late Harry M. and Helen Carrigan Horn Sr.

Harry was a former employee of Peabody Coal Company and was a former journeyman lineman; he was a member of U.M.W.A. Local 1340, and I.B.E.W. Local 71; he was a U.S. Army Viet Nam Veteran and was a member of Corning American Legion Post 327; he enjoyed hunting and taking hunting trips; he accomplished a hole in one golf shot.

He is survived by his wife Gracie Frazier Horn; his children Missy (Chuck) Hartberger and Jim (Teresa) Horn; grandchildren Creed (Tiara) Milner, Zack Hartberger, Emma Hartberger, Alexis and Chris Wright; great grandchildren Tucker, Tyson and Carter; sister Karen (Ron) Grady; brother Bobby (Pam) Horn; in-laws Bill (Charlotte) Frazier and Kathy Frazier; several good friends, especially Ted Kader and Sam Hern.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his grandmother Myrtle Horn, who raised him after his mother’s death, stepmother Ruth Williams Horn, special aunt and uncle Jim and Joanna Horn.

Friends may call from 2-6 pm on Wednesday January 12, 2022, at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home 118 W. Walnut Street, Shawnee.

Following calling cremation will take place.
