Harold “Starsky” Kinney Sr. 80 of Junction City passed away on Wednesday June24, 2026 at his home.
He was born April 12, 1946 in New Lexington, a son of the late Franklin and Elizabeth Barnhart Kinney.
Harold was the Chief of Police of Junction City for 35 years before retiring; he enjoyed camping and fishing in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Susan Shaner Kinney; his sons Harold (Ginger) Kinney Jr. of Mount Perry and Jeremy Kinney of Junction City; his beloved granddaughter Zada Kinney of the home; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses John and Sandy Kinney, Ron and Margaret Kinney, Roberta and Howard Goodin and Joanne and Alfred Koonts.
