Glenn Charles Carr 75 of Corning passed away Friday May 28, 2021, at the OSU James Cancer Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 2, 1945, in Cleveland a son of Gladys Elaine Tayler and the late George Alva Carr.
Glenn was a former employee of Malta Manufacturing and loved hunting, fishing, and listening to his ham radio. He was happiest in the company of his family. Just as he dealt with all experiences in life, Glenn persevered through his illness with strength and courage, and made sure to always have the last word. He will be terribly missed by many.
Glenn is survived by his adoring children George (Tonya Bright) Carr, Jim Carr, Lueann Dodson and Glenn “Duke” Carr Jr.; his grandchildren Katelyne (Chase) Stewart, Krissy (Corey) Abram, Trey Carr, Paige Dodson, Gauge Klingler, Anna Carr and Elyza Plumley; his mother Gladys Elaine Tayler Carr; his siblings Charlotte (Bill) Frazier, Shirley Wilson, Patty Carr, Connie Carr; great-grandchildren Haiden, Brinlee, and Grayson.
After seventeen years, Glenn was reunited with the love of his life, his wife, Janet “Red” Theisen Carr in heaven. In addition to his wife, Glenn was preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Sue Carr; his father George Alva Carr; his grandchildren Allison Dodson and William Caudill Bright.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday June 2, 2021, at the J.E Humphrey Funeral Home.
Interment: Oakwood/Millertown Cemetery, Corning.
Friends may call from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Following the burial, Family & Friends are invited for refreshments and remembrance at the Corning Civic Center.
