Gary Wayne Gaddis 84 of Shawnee passed away Monday May 17, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center, Zanesville.
He was born July 20, 1936 in Shawnee a son of the late Jack and Eleanor Thacker Gaddis.
He was former employee at Lempco in New Lexington and Nico fibers of Shawnee; He was a member of Shawnee Masonic Lodge #526 F&AM; He was a great outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing, especially fishing for walleye at Lake Erie; He would help anyone that needed his help and could fix anything.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 66 years Eileen Lucas Gaddis; daughters Cindy (Rick) Dew and Tammy (Rick) Corp; brother Jack (Shirley) Gaddis; brother and sister in laws Shirley Gaddis, Barbara (Jack) Harris, Ruth Johnson, Norma (Harland) Spencer, Nancy (Tim) Baker, Kenny (Michelle) Lucas and Terry(Tina) Lucas; grandchildren Eddie (Mickie) Dew, Anna (Chris) Snedeker, Joshua (Cassie) Gaddis and Tyler (Kallie) Gaddis; great grandchildren Carli, Eddie and Emma Dew, Robert, Ava and Carson Snedeker, Lincoln, Grayson, Jack and Andy Gaddis; great-great grandchildren Gavin and Madalyn Salisbury;
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Gaddis; brother Robert Dale Gaddis; father and mother-in-law Mike and Bertha Lucas; brother and sister in laws John Johnson and Michael (Ruth) Lucas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday May 21, 2021 at St Bernard Catholic Church, Corning with Father Todd Lehigh celebrant.
Interment: Springer Cemetery.
Following services friends and family are invited to share in food and fellowship at the Shawnee United Methodist Church.
Friends may call from 2-8 pm on Thursday May 20, 2021 at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Shawnee where Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 pm
Memorial contributions may be made to St Bernard Catholic Church.
