Garnet Colvin 74 of Hemlock passed away Tuesday February 11, 2025, at the Genesis Medical Center, Zanesville.
She was born April 16, 1950, in Williamson, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Nick and Della Adkins Runyon.
She was a former employee of Bryant of New Lexington; she was a member of the Athens County Hogs Chapter and the Shawnee Blue Bell Chapter 151 O.E.S.
She is survived by her daughter Tina (Chris) Welch; her siblings, Dave (Agnes) Runyon, Jerry (Vicki) Runyon, Donald (Pam) Runyon; grandchildren Alyssa (Cody) Burns, Nathan (Keeley) Bateson and Matthew (Taylor) Colvin; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Winfield Colvin Jr.; her son George Winfield Colvin III; infant sons John W. Colvin and Duane E. Colvin; her siblings Junior Runyon, Harrison Runyon, Dan Runyon, Juanita Runyon and Ida Louise Runyon
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Monday February 17, 2025, at the J. E. Humphrey Funeral Home 118 W. Walnut Street, Shawnee.
Interment: Springer Cemetery, Hemlock.
