Debra Kay (Nye) Minton

Debra K. Nye (Walker/Minton), born October 29th 1960, of the Columbus area passed away peacefully November 18th, 2024 at Mt Carmel East Hospital. She was a very strong willed and independent woman.

Debbie grew up in New Straitsville, Ohio and went to Miller High School. Shortly after graduating she had two sons, Chris and Tom. She moved to Columbus and held a variety of jobs, including working at the Whitehall, Ohio branch of the VFW. 

She is survived by her son Tom (Sonja) Walker, grandsons Gabe and Corbin Walker, brother Ed/ Eddy Jr (Barb) Nye, brother Chuck (Sharon) Nye, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by husband Earl W Minton Jr, son Chris Walker, parents Ed and Mary Ann Nye, brothers Ricky and Paul Nye and countless other loved ones in the Nye and Willis Family.

Per Debbie’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a graveside service will be held in spring. There will be no formal service at this time.
