Danny Eugene Severance

Danny Eugene Severance 49, of New Lexington, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2024, at the Genesis Perry County Medical Center in Somerset, Ohio.

Danny was born on March 8, 1975 in Zanesville, Ohio. He was a son of the late David A. Severance Sr. and Zelma Pittman Severance of New Straitsville, Ohio.

Everyone that knew Danny, knew that he had an extremely playful sense of humor. He would never miss an opportunity to have some sort of clever remark, usually at your expense. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, so much that everyone knew that you were never to touch his Cleveland Browns hat. Danny also really enjoyed watching “Street Outlaws”. In fact, he was so excited that he was able to attend a couple of their races at the National Trails Raceway in Hebron, Ohio. In his spare time, Danny would spend numerous hours working on vehicles for others and always enjoyed spending time with family and friends sitting around a good bonfire.

In addition to his mother Zelma, Danny is survived by his daughters Victoria (Ronald) Barton, Chelsey (John) Severance; stepson Benjamin Spears; grandchildren Kelsi and Ronald Barton Jr; siblings Michelle (Thomas) Nixon, Darrell (Tiffany) Severance; nephew Thomas Nixon Jr; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Danny is preceded in death by his father David; infant son Danny Blake Severance; grandparents Lewis and Thelma Severance of Shawnee, Ohio; Truman and Zelma Pittman of Somerset, Ohio; brother David Severance Jr.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Per Danny’s wishes, cremation will take place. Services will be held at a later date.. Arrangements have been made by the J.E. HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME, Shawnee, Ohio.
