Connie Sue (Nelson) Thompson- Stephenson,73, of New Lexington passed away on Sunday, July 30th in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones after an extended illness and hard fight. She was born to Carl and Opal (Morgan) Nelson in Crab Orchard, Tennessee. She retired last year from New Lexington Nursing Home after 30+ years of service. She was an amazing and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son Frank (Carol) Thompson Jr.; daughters Sandy (Justin) Blosser of New Lexington and Mary Ann Henry of Crossville, Tennessee; grandchildren Jerry, Brittany, Frankie, Zachary, Sarah, Amber, Shannon, and Shelby; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters Faye Hayes and Paulette Caruthers both of Rockwood, Tennessee; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friend Charlie Miller. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband's Frank Thompson Sr. and Dale Stephenson; granddaughter Lily Ann Blosser; brothers Bob, Harold, and Mike Nelson; sister Bonnie Brady; and son-in-law Calvin Henry. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, Aug. 1 at the J.E. HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME, 118 W. Walnut Street, SHAWNEE, Ohio 43782. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Aug. 2 at the funeral home with Chuck Canter officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Millertown, Ohio
