Chastine Ellen Spicer
Chastine Ellen Spicer passed away on February 4, 2023, at the age of 92 at the New Lexington Healthcare Center in New Lexington. Chastine was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Catholic. She married John Frederick Spicer, Sr and lived in New Straitsville, Ohio. They were the proud parents of 7 children: John (Rita) Spicer, Mary Ann (Norman) Gutridge, Glen (Julie) Spicer, Joe (Janet) Spicer, Karen (Mark) Thrapp, Tom Spicer, Anita (Chip) Giardina. She was born November 10, 1930, a daughter of Doris and Charles Lowery. Besides her children she is survived by her brother, Allen Lowery, sister-in-law's Shirley, Louise and Rosie and brother-in-law Ellis (Jell) Spicer, grandchildren: Jason, David, Amy, Rachel l, Nichol, Norman, Tiffany, Eric, Sonya, Brittany, Cody, Dari, Jordan, Megan and Nick; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Known best to her grandchildren as Nana Pie and Grandma Fudge. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband, John, Sister, Judy Canter, and brother, Glen Hise,
Friends may call from 2-8 on Tuesday February 7 at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, 118 West Walnut Street, Shawnee, Oh with Rosary at 7pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday February 8, 2023, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Corning with Father Todd Lehigh Celebrant.
Interment: Mount Calvary Cemetery New Straitsville..
