Charles “Chuck” R. Gaddis,66, of Corning passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio.
Chuck was born on March 27, 1958, in Ravenna, Ohio. Chuck was a son of the late Robert W. Gaddis and Shirley (Kuhn) Gaddis.
Chuck is a 1976 Miller High School grad and a United State Army veteran. He retired from the Southern Local School District in 2005. Chuck was a former member of the Corning Eagles and an Ohio State fan. He liked to go fishing and mushroom hunting, and most importantly, he loved being a grandpa.
He is survived by his fiancee Terri Yocum; children, Shawna (Ryan) Colvin; Joseph (Cassie) Gaddis; and Lyndsey Yocum siblings Linda Gaddis Brown, Diana Gaddis Glanemann, Mary (Rich) Reynolds, Brian Gaddis; half-sister Gwen (Mark) Alexender; stepbrothers Joey (Chris) Klingenberg, James Klingenberg, Russell Klingenberg; grandchildren Zachary, Annabelle, Hailey, Theodore, Greyson, Charlotte, Noelle, and Noah; several nieces and nephews, he loved being Uncle Chuck.
Besides his parents Chuck was preceded in death by his sister Paulette Gaddis Minarchik, and brother Eric Gaddis.
The family will honor Chuck’s wishes for cremation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
