Bonnie Jean Morrison 78 of New Straitsville passed away at the Logan Nursing Home on Saturday May 4, 2024.
She was born January 10, 1946, in Northville, Michigan, a daughter of the late Albert Glen and Thelma Lola North Brooks.
Bonnie enjoyed attending services at the New Straitsville United Pentecostal Church; she was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed her share of rip off tickets and the more than occasional sweet treat. The most important thing to Bonnie was caring for her family and taking care of those who needed her loving care.
She is survived by her children Kaye (Chris Detrick) Morrison, Jim (Amy) Morrison and Ray (Tammi) Morrison; her sisters and brother Ellen Croll, Patty Kennedy, Dorothy Lanning, and Teddy Brooks; grandchildren, Te’Lesia (Mikey) Spencer, “JD” (Mikala) Chappelear, Cody (Tannah) Chappelear, Conor (Tea’) Morrison, Blake (Mary) Morrison, Jenna Woltz, Christian Morrison. several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, many that Bonnie welcomed into her home.
Besides her parents Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband James Junior “J.R.” Morrison, her grandson Dean Morrison and her sister Charlotte.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 P.M. on Thursday May 9, 2024, at the New Straitsville United Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. at the church on Thursday.
Following services cremation will take place.
Friends and family are invited to share in, food and fellowship at the church following services.
