Belford D. “Bill” Spergin II 66, passed away on Wednesday December 8, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 16, 1955, in Huntington WVa., a son of the late Belford and Shirley (Waddell) Spergin.
Bill was retired from Buckingham Coal and was a former employee of Selkirk Metalbestos for 29 years. He loved Hunting, farming, and time with his family and friends, and he never met a stranger.
Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, Susan (White) Spergin, children, Megan (Ryan Neal) Spergin and Belford Donald Spergin III; brothers Bobby (Connie) Spergin and Scott Spergin; sisters Sharon (Larry) Babbs, Beverly (Bill) Hooper, Barbara Merckle, Thonia Baker, and Lessia (Bob) Canter; several nieces, and nephews, special friend Dale Evrard and his little buddy Zayden Neal.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his father and mother- in -law Chuck and Ruth White; brothers in law Ron Merckle and Larry Baker.
Friends may call from 3 -8 p.m. on Sunday December 12, 2021, at THE J.E. HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME 118 W. Walnut St. SHAWNEE, Funeral services with be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday December 13, 2021, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Fitch officiating. Interment Dew Cemetery. Burr Oak.
