Alvin Collins

Alvin Collins 64 of New Plymouth passed away Sunday February 2, 2025, at the James Cancer Center, Columbus.

He was born April 30, 1960, in Fostoria, Ohio, a son of the late Paul A. and Barbara Ellen Chaffins Collins Sr.

Alvin worked as a tree trimmer for most of his life, he was member of the House of GOD and enjoyed fishing and watching football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by his brother Paul A. (Deb) Collins Jr. of Greenfield; his sisters Brenda (Larry) Garland of New Plymouth, Ermal (Everett) Marcum of Logan and Emma Stumbo of Greenfield; special nephew Samuel Collins and several other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty.

Calling hours will be held from 4-6 pm on Wednesday February 5, 2025 at the J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home 118 W. Walnut Street, Shawnee.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
