Ronald R Matheny Sr

Ronald Ray Matheny Sr. 81 of Oakfield passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2019 at SKLD Nursing Care in New Lexington. Ron was born on June 8, 1938 in SHAWNEE, a son of the late Rev. Delbert and Essie (McFann) Matheny. He was a United States Navy Veteran, a retired independent truck driver and was protestant by faith.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Loretta (Vincent) Matheny; sons, Ronald R Matheny Jr. of Oakfield, Michael L (Darla) Matheny of New Lexington, daughter Sheila K. (Gregory) Allen of Deavertown; Brothers;  Jim ( Joyce) Matheny, Larry Matheny, Delbert Matheny, Chris Matheny, And Kenny Matheny; Sister; Georgena Allen; 9 grandchildren, several great- grandchildren  and many nieces and nephews

 Besides his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Peggy Jo Matheny; his brothers Randy Matheny, Rick Matheny and sister in law Jill Matheny.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Monday September 16, 2019 at the Community Garden Cemetery St. Rt. 13 NE Somerset Ohio with the Pastor John Jividen officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Somerset American Legion Leo Ryan Post 58
